HERE ARE SOME IDEAS OF THINGS TO SEE AND DO CLOSE BY.  ITS EASY TO DAY TRIP AROUND THE ISLAND WITH VILLA TROPICAL AS YOUR HOME BASE.  PLUS SHACKS BEACH IS SIMPLY AWESOME.

SHACKS BEACH is your front yard, so don't miss out on a little or long beach walk.  Collect some sea shells. To the west (turn left) walk 2 miles to the wall and cliffs at Survival Beach.  Hike east and 2.5 miles later you'll find Jobos Beach. In between those two points is a whole lot of wilderness, which is rare to experience nowadays and part of why Villa Tropical is rated #1 place to stay in Isabela on TripAdvisor.  The waters at Shacks in front of the Villa Tropical Hotel are swimmable in most all seasons, as the Blue Hole Coral Reef provides a protected inner calmer zone even when surfers can catch a wave west of the surf break. Do keep in mind that there are no lifeguards, thus adventure at own risk.  Always swim/snorkel/surf/kite/dive with a buddy.  Shacks is an advanced surf location and the snorkeling and scuba diving is rated some of the best in the Caribbean.
